The ABQ ANTS Tennis league has begun and kids all over the neighborhoods of Albuquerque are learning tennis and plaything junior tennis!  Youth tennis is the a great sport that allows for both individual and group development!

ANTS Tennis Kids Tennis League: 2015 Summer Finishing Up & Rolling Into Fall

The 2015 ANTS Tennis Kids Tennis League was a smash this summer season! With teams across the entire city of Albuquerque, we practiced during the week and had awesome matches on the weekends.

With the use of modified equipment that is catered to children 12 & Under, children are able to not only learn the game easier and faster, but they are also able to PLAY! Just like your local soccer league, ANTS Tennis now allows kids to get on a team and play on their local tennis team! Albuquerque is a special place--this doesn't exist anywhere else! Most tennis coaches and companies want to isolate the kids and charge high prices to have your child stand in line and "learn". We like to keep prices low, get families out to local courts, and have kids learn AND play! The more fun, the better!

ANTS ABQ had an incredible spring season! Whoooweee is all we can say! ANTS has served more than 1000 kids this year, and has been a huge hit and success for 12 and under tennis.  Our leagues focus on positive, healthy, fun competition and ensure that everyone practices, plays, and progresses!

Albuquerque's Youth Tennis League is right around the corner! The first week of practice begins May 5th. The season will run for 6 weeks! Don't wait too long to sign up, limited spots are available for the league!

Not only does ANTS Tennis offer Youth Tennis Teams and Leagues, but it gives each and every kid in Albuquerque the chance to play on the properly sized court, as they should! No longer do kids in Albuquerque have to play on adult sized courts that are meant for the professionals!

ANTS is a fun from the first swing league! Beginner leagues will need a parent volunteer and assistant to go through the ANTS Training Program! Advanced will have an ANTS Certified coach coaching the team!

  • Neighborhood-based teams. Teams need a minimum of 6 kids!
  • Coed teams for children ages 6 & Under - 12 & Under
  • 4 different age groups - U6, U8, U10 U12
  • Focused on having your child learn AND Play!
  • ANTS own all inclusive "partner work with most touches possible" philosophy keeps your child developing their individual skills in a team setting for the full practice and play. You will not see 10-12 kids going after 1 ball in ANTS.
  • Your child has their own Court, Net, Racquet, Ball(s), and team to stay fully engaged and developing for the full practice and play sessions!
  • Your child will practice 1 day during the week and play on Saturdays.

ANTS Tennis was born in ABQ and created by former UNM player Derek Lynch.  After successfully running one of the best high performance tennis academies in the nation, and producing top-tier junior, Derek Lynch handed over his high performance tennis Academy (LPTA) to produce ANTS. ANTS is committed to growing the game of tennis at the grassroots level, and to helping your child develop AND play at young age, which Derek Lynch in his own words says "is the most essential to kids not only falling in love with the sport, but also developing".  The old traditional ways of tennis are over, it is time for ANTS Tennis now!
